Flames win in SO to snap 6-game skid
Matthew Tkachuk scored the only goal in the shootout as the Flames beat the Flyers 3-2 on Saturday to stop a six-game slide.
Tkachuk, the Flames’ second shooter in the tiebreaker, scored on a backhander through Carter Hart’s legs.
The Flames’ Elias Lindholm tied it at 2 when he scored with 1:23 left in regulation. Andrew Mangiapane also scored for the Flames, who had been blanked in each of their three previous road games.
Crouse injured in win: Lawson Crouse scored the go-ahead goal in the second period before a scary fall that forced him to leave the game as the Coyotes topped the Kings 3-2 for their fifth win in seven games.
Crouse left in the third after he fell and hit his head awkwardly into the boards. After being checked by a trainer, he was helped off the ice, and he walked to the locker room.
One-timers: Andrei Vasilevskiy stopped 36 shots to set a franchise record with his 132nd victory as Lightning beat the Ducks 6-2. Vasilevskiy had shared the mark with Ben Bishop, now with the Stars. ... Jacob Markstrom stopped 32 shots and seven more in a shootout, helping the Canucks topped the Capitals 2-1 . ... The Maple Leafs won their second straight game under Sheldon Keefe after getting by the Avalanche 5-3.
