Flames win in SO to snap 6-game skid

Matthew Tkachuk scored the only goal in the shootout as the Flames beat the Fly­ers 3-2 on Saturday to stop a six-game slide.

Tkachuk, the Flames’ se­cond shooter in the tiebreaker, scored on a back­han­der through Carter Hart’s legs.

The Flames’ Elias Lind­holm tied it at 2 when he scored with 1:23 left in reg­u­la­tion. An­drew Man­gia­pane also scored for the Flames, who had been blanked in each of their three pre­vi­ous road games.

Crouse in­jured in win: Law­son Crouse scored the go-ahead goal in the se­cond pe­riod be­fore a scary fall that forced him to leave the game as the Coy­otes topped the Kings 3-2 for their fifth win in seven games.

Crouse left in the third af­ter he fell and hit his head awk­wardly into the boards. Af­ter be­ing checked by a trainer, he was helped off the ice, and he walked to the locker room.

One-timers: An­drei Vasilevski­y stopped 36 shots to set a fran­chise record with his 132nd vic­tory as Light­ning beat the Ducks 6-2. Vasilevski­y had shared the mark with Ben Bishop, now with the Stars. ... Ja­cob Mark­strom stopped 32 shots and seven more in a shootout, help­ing the Canucks topped the Cap­i­tals 2-1 . ... The Maple Leafs won their se­cond straight game un­der Shel­don Keefe af­ter get­ting by the Avalanche 5-3.
