If Trump is in­no­cent, he should prove it

Why are Repub­li­cans not be­ing more as­sertive to have Pres­i­dent Don­ald Trump pro­vide wit­nesses that ex­on­er­ate him from wrong­do­ing in these im­peach­ment hear­ings? Let’s get the ex­cul­pa­tory ev­i­dence in pub­lic view and move on.

If Repub­li­cans be­lieve no wrong was done, then pro­vid­ing tes­ti­mony that ex­on­er­ates the pres­i­dent would sat­isfy the coun­try. I don’t see the me­dia putting heat on Congress to ac­com­plish what would be a sim­ple so­lu­tion.
