Tom Skilling’s forecast

44 29 High Low

-

Temperatures did an about face this weekend after two straight Sundays that brought 60-degree warmth. Despite Saturday’s chill, this month’s temperatures remain well above normal. Through March 14, there have been no subnormal days, and the month’s average temperature was running 8 degrees above normal. Given the mild weather, it’s not surprising there has been no measurable snowfall this month. A typical March will have produced 3 inches of snow by this time. Expected temperatures through March 21 run more than 5 degrees above normal, leaving little chance of measurable snow heading into the latter third of the month. Some snow is possible as colder air arrives Friday, but forecasts keep any accumulations to the north. Forecasts for the last 10 days of March also suggest little, if any snowfall.
