UncivilWar: A poem about Donald Trump

-

This is the latest inmy series of occasional TrumPoems chronicling the presidency of Donald Trump, based, as always, on his ownwords and acts.

UNCIVILWAR

Well, whoopee! RBGis gone And nowI’ve gotmy shot

I’ll pack the nation’s highest court To furthermy great plot

My plot’s to keepmy power Folks, you’ll never push me out Not even if I lose the vote— I’ve seeded too much doubt.

I’vewarned you all of ballot fraud Said voting’s a big scam

And nowI’ll ramthis court vote through With help fromLindseyGraham.

The voters say they’d much prefer Iwait to fill Ruth’s seat

The Democrats are hoping ComeNovember I’ll be beat

But that iswhy old Ginsburg’s death Is such a timely gift—

I get to choose a justice!

That should help withmy big grift.

The pundits and the Democrats Arewarning revolution They claim that I amwagingwar Upon the Constitution.

They talk of “peaceful transfer” And an “orderly transition” Well, that I cannot guarantee Cause I’ve got just one mission

To win, to win, to win again! The WhiteHouse it is mine! And that is why I’ve got to get The court back up to nine.

Those whiny libs should quiet down And spareme their abuse

Oh, howI envy leaders

Like that guy in Belarus.

Hang on, gotta retweet this Biden video …

And as for Bader Ginsburg— I havewished her RIP Although she called me “faker” Andwas very mean to me.

Her death provides distraction From the nation’s COVID dread That flu kills almost no one! Huh? Two hundred thousand dead?

You can’t believe the numbers And you can’t trust Sleepy Joe Subtract the blue state victims And the stats are very low.

BobWoodward claims I knew the risks? His book is gonna bomb

And me, I’m just like Churchill Here to keepmy country calm.

A vaccine’s coming very soon! Don’t tell me that’s absurd It’s coming soon because I need To winNovember third.

I’m battling evil forces Mary Trump has filed a suit AndMeghanMarkle dissedme I’m no fan and she’s a snoot.

Some say I’m Putin’s puppet “Useful idiot’s” the term But nothing thatmy critics say Will ever makeme squirm.

I live bymy own wishes

And Imake upmy own rules Some say I’ve changed what’s normal That’s what rulers do, you fools!

I’ve numbed you with confusion Made youweary withmy lies And dizzy frommy double talk— That’s howI’llwin the prize!

A psychopath, a narcissist?

Your insults are such bores

And here’s the most tremendous thing: My sickness is nowyours.

I’m flexing allmy power From theWest Coast toNew York Those places are anarchic

I’ll withhold their federal pork.

Bill Barr is stillmy buddy

He keeps Justice onmy side! The yesmen inmy party Don’t darewoundmy fragile pride

And soon I’ll be debating With old Biden— he’s so vile Perhaps you sawthat video? The man’s a pedophile!

He’s old and he’s demented And he’s probably on drugs He’ll wreck our peaceful suburbs As he kowtows to the thugs.

Wink. Wink.

ElectionDay is drawing near Just five moreweeks to go And really there is just one thing The country needs to know

No matter what the vote is Whether Biden takes the lead I’ve sown so much uncertainty Iwon’t have to concede.

And ifmy people take up arms To fight formy great cause? That’s A-OKwith me, my friends Theirwar sounds like applause.
