The Bears probably will be in trouble if they enter the fourth quarter trailing by more than 14 points, as they did in Week 1 against the Lions in Detroit and Week 3 against the Falcons in Atlanta. The Bears are brimming with confidence with the way the team has handled fourth-quarter adversity. Since Nick Foles’ second season, he’s 6-1 in his first start of the year.

Colleen Kane (3-0)

Neither the Colts nor the Bears has had very difficult schedules to open the season. The combined record of their opponents through Week 3 was 2-16. So this will be a truer test for both. On paper, it looks as if I should pick the Colts, whose defense has put up back-to-back convincing performances to rank among the best in the NFL. But I’m buying into the Nick Foles magic.

Dan Wiederer (3-0)

Buzzkill alert: The offense’s transition to Nick Foles as the starting quarterback will not be entirely smooth. And against a Colts defense that leads the NFL in total defense (225.3 yards per game), interceptions (six) and yards allowed per pass play (5.3), the bumps will be felt Sunday afternoon. For the second straight season, Philip Rivers will come to Soldier Field and steal a win.
