“Fear the Walking Dead”(
8 p.m., 11:15 p.m., 1:30 a.m., AMC): When Dakota (ZoeMargaret Colletti) suddenly goes missing, Strand (Colman Domingo) immediately dispatches Alicia and Charlie (Alycia Debnam-Carey, Alexa Nisenson) on a searchand-rescue mission to find her in the Season 6 finale “Damage From the Inside.” Meanwhile, an unlikely ally provides a new possibility of escape from Virginia (guest star Colby Minifie). Lennie James, Maggie Grace and Danay Garcia also star.
“2020 American Music Awards”
(7 p.m., ABC): From the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, Taraji P. Henson (“Empire”) hosts this year’s edition of the awards show recognizing the most popular artists and music albums of 2020. Two-time AMA winner TheWeeknd and rapper Roddy Ricch lead the field of nominees with eight nods apiece, including Artist of the Year.
“The Christmas House”(
7 p.m., Hallmark): As they grapple with some challenging family issues, Phylis and Bill Mitchell (Sharon Lawrence, Treat Williams) summon their two adult sons, Mike and Brandon (Robert Buckley, Jonathan Bennett), home for the holidays, where the parents hope the family can rekindle some much-needed holiday spirit by recreating a “Christmas house” from happier holidays in the past. Brad Harder and Ana Ayora also star in this 2020 yuletide drama.
“Homemade Christmas”(
7 p.m., 11:01 p.m., Lifetime): Megan is ambitious, so every year she uses the weeks leading up to Christmas tomake money acting as the ultimate freelance assistant, helping with holiday-related tasks. This year she has an opportunity to save a Christmas party and score points with a guy she has her eye on, but she’s forced to choose between that gent and another man who just may turn out to be her real Mr. Right.
“Candy Land”(
8 p.m., 11 p.m., Food): How do the busy citizens of Candy Land get from one place to another? That’s the question host Kristin Chenoweth poses to the remaining teams, who are tasked with creating colorful and inventive modes of transportation for this fantasy land. They are also expected to take into account the terrain of their assigned stretch of Candy Land in their designs. Nacho Aguirre and Aarti Sequeira are the judges.
“First Ladies”
(9 p.m., 12 a.m., CNN): This series closes out its first season with the finale “Hillary Rodham Clinton,” focusing on someone who forever changed the role of First Lady during the presidency of her husband, Bill Clinton. After his two-term administration, Hillary Clinton went on to become a senator and a highly respected U.S. secretary of state. Her subsequent bid to become the first female president of the United States, however, saw her win the popular vote by a wide margin, only to lose to opponent Donald Trump in the Electoral College.
“Buddy vs. Christmas”(
9 p.m., 12 a.m., Food): Buddy Valastro (“Cake Boss”) and his team of bakers go up against non-cake-centric artists to see which team can best capture the spirit of Christmas in this unconventional new competition series. In each of the four episodes, Valastro’s bakers turn out breathtaking cake creations, vying with an award-winning scenic designer, a glassblower, an animatronics expert and a LEGO builder.
