Longhorns hand Jayhawks record-tying loss

Courtney Ramey scored 18 points to lead five Texas players in double-figures scoring, and No. 8 Longhorns routed third-ranked Kansas 84-59 on Saturday to match the most lopsided win by an opponent in the history of Allen Field house. Andrew Jones added 14 points, Matt Coleman III had 13 and Jericho Sims had 11 points and 12 rebounds for the Longhorns (8-1, 2-0 Big 12), who turned an eight-point halftime lead into a blowout in startling fashion. The margin of victory was the most by an opponent in the Phog since Missouri’s 91-66 victory on Feb. 1, 1989.

NFL: Down at least five players and three assistant coaches, the Cleveland Browns will try become a playoff team again. Unable to practice most of theweek due to COVID-19 cases and protocols, the Browns said Saturday that offensive line coach Bill Callahan and assistant line coach Scott Peters will both miss Sunday’s game against the Pittsburgh Steelers as Cleveland tries to lock up its first post season berth since2002.

„ Floyd Little, the great running back who starred at Syracuse and for the Denver Broncos, has died. Hewas78. The Pro Football Hall of Fame said he died Friday night at his home in Nevada. No cause was given.

NBA: Paul West ph al, a Hall of Fame player whowon a championsh­ip with the Boston Celtic sin 1974 and later coached in the league andin college, has died. Hewas70. No cause was given, although he had been diagnosed with brain cancer last August. A five-time All-Star guard, Westphal played in the NBA from 1972-84. After his playing career ended, Westphal moved into coaching. He led the Suns to the NBA Finals in 1993, and also was head coach of Seattle and Sacramento.

Boxing: Ryan Garcia staggered Luke Campbell with a body blow after coming back froman early knock down, winning a WBC lightweigh­t title fight on a seventh-round knock out.
