Opening day:

July 1 (three nights of free performanc­es for health care workers and other pandemic heroes)

First public performanc­e:

July 5

Final performanc­e:

Sept. 30

Programmin­g:

Some to be announced in a few days; more later in the summer. Includes all usual musical areas: orchestral, chamber, pop, rock, jazz, blues, folk.

Will the Chicago Symphony Orchestra be there?

Yes. Each concert will have 50 players. No chorus.

Will there be indoor concerts?

No. Everything will be outside; some in the pavilion and some in a new carousel stage.

Capacity:

Fluid but, at press time, max 25% (approx. 1,000 in the pavilion and 3,500 on the lawn)

Can I bring food and drink?

Yes. And restaurant­s will be open for both inside and outside seating.

Do I need to be vaccinated?

No. But encouraged. Do I need to wear a mask?

Yes. Except for when eating and drinking

Should I drive?

You can. But Ravinia is working to add Metra service to reduce stress on neighborho­od.

Will it feel like the Ravinia I know and love?

It should. With more room to breathe.
