Six people were fatally wounded, including a 15-year-old boy, and at least 13 others were injured in city shootings since 5 p.m. Friday, Chicago police said.

The latest fatal attack was a double shooting in the West Garfield Park neighborhood on the West Side, police said.

About 2 a.m. Saturday, two men were standing outside in the 4000 block of West Wilcox Street when someone approached on foot and opened fire. A 24-year-old man was shot in the head, neck, chest and leg, and was taken to Loretto Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The other man, 28, suffered wounds to the chest, torso and arm, and was taken to Stroger Hospital, where he also was pronounced dead, police said.

Shortly after midnight Saturday, a 27-year-old man was fatally wounded while driving on the Eisenhower Expressway on the city’s West Side.

Illinois State police responded to the westbound ramp at Austin Avenue for a call of an expressway shooting. The man was taken to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead, according to state police.

About 11:50 p.m. Friday, 15-year-old Dajon Gater was fatally shot while he was standing on a porch of a residence in the 3900 block of West Lexington Street in the Lawndale neighborhood, police said.

Two people approached Gater, of the same block where he was shot, pulled out weapons and shot him in the head. He was taken in critical condition to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

Shortly before 10:30 p.m., 23-year-old Destiny Nunez, of Aurora, and an 18-year-old man were both slain in the 500 block of North Kedzie Avenue in the East Garfield Park neighborhood. Police said the incident started in a convenience store and ended in a parking lot where they were gunned down.

Nunez was involved in an argument with someone who pulled out a weapon and began shooting at her and the man. Nunez, of the 2400 block of Georgetown Circle, was shot several times in the torso and taken to Stroger Hospital, where she was pronounced dead at 10:53 p.m., according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

The 18-year-old was hit several times to the torso and leg, and was taken to Humboldt Park Health, where he was pronounced dead. Only Nunez and Gater have been publicly identified.
