Senior IT Engineer 6204287 Lake Forest, IL Apply Online TENNECO AUTOMOTIVE OPERATING COMPANY INC. -is seeking a full-time Senior IT Engineer at our offices in Lake Forest, IL. The Senior IT Engineer acts as an internal senior technical consultant within the department to address proper utilization of technologies, services, major technology problems, and adoption of new technologies and services. This position requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or a related field and 5 years related (progressive, post-baccalaureate) experience. Must also have 12 months of

experience (which may have been gained concurrently) with each of the following: (1) plan, design, deploy, manage and

troubleshoot complex Enterprise network infrastructure comprising of Cisco ISR, ASR routers, Catalyst and Nexus switches, Cisco Wireless Controllers, Cisco Identity Service engine (ISE), Cisco ACS, Wireless Access Points, WAN Acceleration Solution, MPLS, DMVPN and internet technologies; (2) analyze and evaluate emerging cloud-based technologies, build and deploy network infrastructure in Amazon AWS (VPC, NACL’s, Security Groups, ELB’s, EC2 & RDS), Microsoft Azure (VNET’s, Express route solutions, Connections), Cisco Meraki Wireless, Zscaler for Internet Filtering and SDWAN Solutions (Aryaka, Versa, Meraki); (3) utilize following tools and technologies: MPLS, IPsec and GRE VPN Tunnels, DMVPN, Routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP), Quality of Service (QOS), Cisco Prime, Network performance and monitoring tools, Solarwinds, Logic Monitor, Nagios, Ekahau Wireless site survey tool, Cisco ISE, Infoblox IPAM, Riverbed WAN acceleration, F5 Loadbalancers, STP, VLAN, 802.1X, and VOIP; (4) deploy and manage Security Firewall infrastructure consisting of Cisco Firepower ASA, Checkpoint and Palo Alto firewalls, deploy and management of security policies; and (5) lead critical datacenter solutions, migrations, WAN migrations to provide highly available, resilient and reliable network infrastructure using Nexus architecture, LTM’s (F5, ALB, NLB), maintain technology and services infrastructure life-cycle roadmaps for their area of expertise.
