Marjorie Joan Zeeh Natchke of Glen Ellyn, IL passed away on January 17, 2022. Beloved wife of Wallace B. Natchke for 73 years; devoted mother of Laurie Jossendal (Robert), Susan Tichkowski (Michael), Linda Gramsch (Stephen), and David Natchke (Liz); grandmother of Steven Tichkowski, Kevin Jossendal (Rozelle), Erin Velianoff (Nick), Thomas Gramsch and Katharine Maquera (Matthew); great grandmother to Trent Richards, and to Jordyn and Zoey Velianoff. Marjorie was born in Oak Park, IL to Walter and Gladys Zeeh on February 21, 1929. She was active in the band and in sports at Oak Park River Forest High School where she met Wallace. Marjorie and Wallace raised their children in Glen Ellyn where she was active in her community as a Girl Scout leader and as a Sunday school teacher. She spent many years working as an Assistant Administrator for the First Presbyterian Church of Glen Ellyn. Her father owned a home on Powers Lake, Wisconsin, where Marjorie learned to sail and later, where many happy times were spent with her children. Marjorie maintained friendships all the way back from her school days, frequently meeting with friends in her ‘coffee group’ of fifty years. Marjorie tended her many gardens with love and care and she created a ‘secret garden’ with whimsical figures which was a favorite

spot for her grandchildren to seek out. She enjoyed playing tennis with friends and loved traveling, especially to the beach in Florida. Marjorie continued to host family get-togethers well into her nineties! Mom, we will miss having your presence in our lives. Rest in peace. A memorial service will be held for Marjorie on Saturday, February 26th at 1:00 in the afternoon in the chapel of the First Presbyterian Church of Glen Ellyn. Her family requests that donations be made to Residential Hospice at 1431 Opus Place, Suite 310, Downers Grove, IL 60515.
