Parade magazine ceases publication

Parade magazine, long a staple of the Sunday newspaper, published its last edition on Nov. 13. The Arena Group, which owns Parade, Spry Living and Relish magazines, is eliminating its print offerings.

An electronic version of Parade magazine will be included in the Sunday e-edition print replica available to subscribers at chicagotribune.com. Parade.com also offers feature stories on entertainment, television, celebrities and more on its Lifestyle site.

Parade was founded in 1941, and by 1946 had reached a circulation of 3.5 million. A Sunday supplement, it was distributed in more than 700 newspapers in the United States.
