It’s summertime, and during Violet’s (Annabelle Apsion) first event as mayor, a young mother goes into labor.

The Great North FOX, 7:30 p.m.

Two new episodes of The Great North air tonight. In “Idita-Ruth Adventure,” the new librarian gets rid of vandalized books, and Moon (voice of Aparna Nancherla) and his friends retrieve them and set up a bookstore. Then, in “A Chug’s Life Adventure,” Judy and Ham (Jenny Slate and Paul Rust) set out to party with a recently emancipate­d student.

Space Shuttle Columbia: The Final Flight

CNN, beginning at 8 p.m.  Series Finale Two back-to-back hourlong episodes conclude this docuseries about the 2003 space shuttle disaster. The first installmen­t picks up when Columbia is 16 minutes from landing and Mission Control loses contact with its crew. The final episode looks at how, following the disaster, NASA comes under pressure to give answers.

The 100th: Billy Joel at Madison Square Garden — The Greatest Arena Run of All Time CBS, 8 p.m.

This two-hour special, taped March 28 at Billy Joel’s 100th consecutiv­e monthly performanc­e during his residency at New York City’s Madison Square Garden, is the artist’s first-ever concert to air on a broadcast TV network. Joel’s final show at the Garden, the 150th of his career, is scheduled for July 25.

The Sympathize­r New Limited Series

HBO, 8 p.m. 

Based on Viet Thanh Nguyen’s Pulitzer Prize-winning novel of the same name, this seven-episode espionage thriller and cross-culture satire is about the struggles of a half-French, half-Vietnamese Communist spy during the final days of the Vietnam War and his new life as a refugee in Los Angeles, where he learns that his spying days aren’t over. Sandra Oh co-stars and Robert Downey Jr. plays multiple roles in the series.

Secrets of the Hells Angels

A&E, 9 p.m.  New Series

This riveting new series examines the history ‘The Sympathize­r’

behind the Hells Angels “brotherhoo­d” to uncover the organizati­on’s darkest secrets. With access to five former chapter presidents — Charles “PeeWee” Goldsmith, Thomas Eriksen, Pat Matter, Matt Zanoskar and George Christie — alongside exclusive interviews with law enforcemen­t officers, undercover agents, victims and more, it is revealed that the Hells Angels were a much more violent, devious and highly organized group than anyone realized. In the series premiere, ATF agent Jay Dobyns goes undercover to infiltrate the Hells Angels. He’s backed up by a female agent, Jenna Maguire, who plays the role of his “old lady,” but the dream of becoming a fully patched Hells Angel pushes Jay to the point of destructio­n. This is the first time Jenna has told her side of the story.

Alice & Jack PBS, 9 p.m.

Jack (Domhnall Gleeson) and Alice (Andrea Riseboroug­h) meet again, but their joy is cut short by devastatin­g news.
