Tex-mex Taco Rub

This rub includes a classic mix of spices for a familiar taco flavor. In addition to tasting great on grilled and baked chicken, it’s also a good rub for chicken pieces that will be prepared in a slow cooker or electric pressure cooker to serve shredded.

Yield: about 3 tablespoons

INGREDIENTS

• 2 teaspoons ancho chili powder

• 2 teaspoons fine sea salt

• 1 teaspoon ground coriander

• 1 teaspoon ground cumin

• 1 teaspoon garlic powder

• 1 teaspoon smoked paprika

• 1⁄4 teaspoon ground allspice

• 1⁄4 teaspoon ground black pepper

PREPARATION

Stir together ingredients in a small bowl. Rub over chicken.
