China stands ready to work with Turkmenistan to deepen mutually beneficial cooperation on all fronts and build a more substantial, vibrant and dynamic relationship, President Xi Jinping said on Feb 5 during a meeting with Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov.
Xi said that China stands ready to work with Turkmenistan to increase the volume and scale of natural gas cooperation, which has greatly promoted the socioeconomic development of both nations.
Xi also called on both sides to align the Belt and Road Initiative with Turkmenistan’s development strategy to accelerate the revival of the Great Silk Road. China is willing to continue enhancing vaccine cooperation with Turkmenistan, he said.
Berdymukhamedov said his country is willing to work with China to hasten natural gas cooperation and expand exchanges in other fields to raise Turkmenistan-China ties to a higher level.
