People from various cultures and countries came together to celebrate the Chinese Lunar New Year, and usher in the Year of the Tiger, on Feb 1. Lion and dragon dances, dragon boat races, fireworks and illuminations were held in many countries including the United States, Brazil, Italy, Spain, Japan, Malaysia and Australia. Though the festivities were muted in many places due to the pandemic, the Chinese communities and local people managed to imbibe the unique cultural experiences of the lunar festival.
