Hanoi to develop digital content
The Vietnamese government is striving to accelerate the development of the internet, the digital content industry and value-added applications on the internet to benefit more enterprises and people. Vietnamese Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Pham Hong Hai made the statement on Monday at the 2017 Vietnam Internet Forum entitled “Digital For Good”, held in Hanoi by the Ministry of Information and Communications and the Swedish embassy. Vietnam, which joined the internet in December 1997, currently has over 50 million frequent internet users, or 54 percent of the country’s total population, higher than the world’s average rate, he said.
