China Daily Global Edition (USA) Back home 2019-11-08 - MOHAMMAD ABU GHOSH / XINHUA Jordanian Heba al-Labadi (middle) arrives at the King Hussein Bridge border crossing in Jordan on Wednesday after being released from custody in Israel. Labadi and another Jordanian detainee, Abdul Rahman Miri, were sent back in a move aimed at easing a standoff that has soured relations between the neighbors. The two had been detained for more than two months without charge. Their release comes as Israel and Jordan mark a chilly 25th anniversary of their historic peace deal. Labadi and Miri were arrested in August and September, respectively, after entering the West Bank to visit relatives.
