Center to provide speedier protection
China has approved the establishment of a new center to provide quicker services for intellectual property rights protection issues in Bazhou, Hebei province, according to the China National Intellectual Property Administration. The first of its kind in the province, the center will focus on offering more efficient IP protection services for enterprises in the furniture industry. Bazhou has attracted more than 2,000 enterprises in the industry, with an annual sales volume of more than 19 billion yuan ($2.9 billion), accounting for 76 percent of the country’s total. To date, 27 such fast IP right protection centers have been established nationwide.
