Center to provide speedier protection

China has approved the establishm­ent of a new center to provide quicker services for intellectu­al property rights protection issues in Bazhou, Hebei province, according to the China National Intellectu­al Property Administra­tion. The first of its kind in the province, the center will focus on offering more efficient IP protection services for enterprise­s in the furniture industry. Bazhou has attracted more than 2,000 enterprise­s in the industry, with an annual sales volume of more than 19 billion yuan ($2.9 billion), accounting for 76 percent of the country’s total. To date, 27 such fast IP right protection centers have been establishe­d nationwide.
