WILLIAM BAXTER’S O GAUGE LAYOUT
When asked about the nature of his O gauge layout, William Baxter replies that its name should tell you everything. “I call it the Allgone & Nevermore RR,” he says, noting how the fictitious line represents life in Minnesota right after World War II. The Northern Pacific rules the roost in this area, which probably reminds Bill of the town of Plymouth where he resides. American Flyer S gauge trains launched his lifelong interest in toy trains, though he switched to O gauge about 20 years ago soon after discovering Lionel’s TrainMaster Command Control system. Bill proudly adds that he painted the backdrop, laid all the track, and handled the scenery from start to finish.
