TIMELESS STYLE
Farrah Fawcett’s bohemian couture.
Everything old is new again! Today’s stars channel Farrah Fawcett’s bohemian style
Hard to believe it’s been 40 years since Farrah Fawcett first shot to stardom as Detective Jill Munroe in Charlie’s Angels. With her vibrant personality, voluminous feathered ’do (which had millions of us asking our hairstylists for “the Farrah”) and carefree fashion sense, she quickly cemented her place in our hearts as America’s sweetheart. “She exuded femininity and could make the most basic items feel glamorous,” says stylist Robert Verdi, who has worked with Kristen Wiig and Eva Longoria. “She helped redefine the modern American woman’s wardrobe.”
So we were thrilled to see celebrities on the red carpets and streets of Hollywood looking beautiful in flowy white bohemian tops and denim, just like Farrah. And as Verdi notes, a roomy blouse skims over any belly lumps and bumps while flared jeans “stretch” the body for a look that is as slimming as it is stylish.
