THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST PROVIDES AMPLE OPPORTUNITY TO ENJOY THE WONDERS OF NATURE
When Joy Bryant and her husband, actor Dave Pope, want an idyllic vacation, they’ve been known to skip the fancy resorts and opt for spending time in the great outdoors instead. “We did a big family camping trip in Washington state,” the Parenthood star tells Closer of one of their recent adventures. Dave, who is originally from the Evergreen State, and Joy pitched their tents at the Skokomish Park at Lake Cushman, located on the Olympic Peninsula. The stunning picture-perfect scenery proved to be inspirational — and nostalgic for the pair. “My husband and his family had a cabin in that area when he was growing up, so it was just, like, flooded with memories,” explains Joy, adding their weeklong getaway “in the woods” was a quiet time for the whole family to reconnect since there was “no cell service or anything.” Sounds like heaven!
