Making a Home for Senior Citizen Dogs

After Julie Docherty adopted her first Chihuahua, Sir Momo, 11, she realized how

many older dogs need homes. “I came to realize then how overlooked this large category of shelter dogs are,” says the LA woman, who added three more elderly Chihuahuas, ages 13 to 16, to her family. “With senior pups you never have to nap alone… and no need for long walks,” she says. “And they have an enormous capacity for love.”
