End Their 11-Year Relationship
Another star couple are calling it quits. Naomi Watts and Liev Schreiber announced their split on Sept. 27, even as they’ve been out together promoting their upcoming film The Bleeder, in which they play husband and wife. “Over the past few months we’ve come to the conclusion that the best way forward for us as a family is to separate as a couple,” the pair, who never married, said in a joint statement. Ray Donovan star Liev and Naomi, 48, best known for 2005’s King Kong, have two sons, Alexander, 8, and Samuel, 7. They first met years ago in Toronto, but didn’t start dating until 2005, when Naomi asked him out. Their first date was “very silly — very romantic,” Liev, 49, has said. But now, the couple are asking for “privacy” for their kids, adding, “We look forward to raising our children together and exploring this new phase of our relationship.”
