Everything old is new again! Today’s stars channel Jacqueline Bisset’s laid-back look

Feels like just yesterday that Jacqueline Bisset rose to stardom playing Steve McQueen’s girlfriend in 1968’s Bullitt. A string of other memorable movies followed, but it was the British actress’ bare-faced beauty and breezy style that made her such a standout. “She pioneered the effortless look with her tousled tresses, natural beauty and neutral hues,” says celebrity stylist George Brescia, author of Change Your Clothes, Change Your Life. Whether draped in a gown or sporting a men’s style khaki anorak, Jacqueline (who turned 72 in September!) always exuded simple yet stunning style.

Now today’s stars are taking note, walking the streets of New York, Paris and Los Angeles in Jacqueline-esque fashion with fall-ready, figure-flattering anoraks. Brescia’s tip: Since an anorak skews baggy, pairing it with a fitted stretch denim helps streamline the look for a slim silhouette. All hail the Queen! A monochromatic tank and hip-length jacket combo elongates and slims the torso while hiding any belly lumps or bumps. Cropped white skinnies with tan wedges elongate legs and add youthful flair.

?? ?? “I just dress casually and try to wear what suits me,” Jacqueline Bisset (pictured here in 1976) once said.
