RACHAEL’S GARLICKY BACON BURGERS
Serves 4
11⁄2 lbs. 80% lean ground beef
4 cloves garlic, finely chopped
2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 tbsp. soy sauce
3 tbsp. finely grated onion and its juice
4 slices cheddar cheese
3 tbsp. hot sauce
1⁄2 cup ketchup
4 burger rolls, split
4 slices crisp cooked bacon
Lettuce, sliced tomato, sliced red onion and sliced avocado (to serve)
1. In bowl, combine ground beef, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce and onion. Season generously with salt and pepper. Form 4 patties.
2. Heat grill to medium-high. Arrange burgers on grates. Cook 4 min. per side for medium or to desired doneness, topping each burger with 1 slice of cheese during last min. of cook time. 3. In small bowl, combine hot sauce and ketchup. Spread cut sides of buns with spicy ketchup. Layer buns with cheeseburgers, bacon, lettuce, tomato, onion and avocado as desired. Serve immediately.
