From 1976 to 1980, Elliott joined SNL’s “Five-Timers Club” and then some by hosting six times. “I didn’t stay up so late to watch it, but [my wife] Jenny said I should do it, so I went in and did” — including this Star Trek skit. “It was a great experience.”
