...As Is Benji, Doggone It!
Remember Benji? The adorable pooch who starred in his own 1974 movie returns in a new Netflix film. It’s not the same dog, but producer Brandon Camp (son of the original’s director, Joe Camp), says his no talking spirit remains. “What made Benji work is he was an ordinary dog,” Camp says. “He couldn’t talk. He definitely wanted to tell human beings something was amiss but he didn’t have words, so he had to find other means of communicating.”
