GEOFFREY’S IRISH COFFEE

4 oz. Irish whiskey,

like Jameson

2-6 sugar cubes 2 cups hot black coffee 1 ⁄4 cup heavy whipping cream 1. In each of 2 heatproof coffee mugs, pour 2 oz. whiskey. Stir in 1 to 3 sugar cubes, depending on desired sweetness. Fill each mug three-quarters of the way with coffee.

2. Using electric mixer or whisk, beat whipping cream to medium-stiff peaks. Using spoon, gently ladle ⁄4"-thick layer

3 of whipped cream over top of each coffee mug. Serve immediatel­y.

More delicious ideas:

•For cool refreshmen­t, add a few drops of peppermint extract.

•Replace the whiskey with spiced rum and whisk a spoonful of malted milk powder and brown sugar into the cream for a spiced caramel delight.

•For a Nutella-inspired spin, sub in Frangelico for the whiskey and whisk a spoonful of cocoa powder into the whipped cream.

•Add 2 tbsp. of Irish cream liqueur for a sweeter, boozier sip. PER SERVING: 247 cal, 1g protein, 5g carbs, 0g fiber, 4g sugar, 9g fat
