Paying It Forward!
A young singer who beat cancer helps others face the same challenges.
At age 12, Falyn Vega of Jackson, N.J., was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma. She’s been in remission for 5½ years, and at 18, she says she’s “so proud to be helping children with cancer through the arts” by singing in the new music video “I Am a Free Bird,” promoting the nonprofit A Free Bird. The organization helps pediatric cancer patients attend shows, get arts tutoring and connect with grants and professionals in their field of interest.
