The Cut­ting Edge’s D.B. Sweeney takes Closer through his new Chicago es­tate.

Since he’s known for por­tray­ing an ex–hockey player in the rom-com The Cut­ting Edge, it’s fit­ting that the sport brought D.B. Sweeney to his new house in the sub­urbs of Chicago in 2017. “My son plays hockey, and my wife and I thought he’d have a bet­ter chance of chas­ing his dreams in a hockey en­vi­ron­ment,” D.B., 56, tells Closer. “When I was still in­side the car, I saw the out­door rink a neigh­bor in­stalled in a park be­hind the house.
