The Cosby Show from 1985 to 1992, felt shamed after a woman posted a photo of him working at a checkout line and news outlets picked up the story. But fans rallied in support — including super producer Tyler Perry, who booked Geoffrey for a role on one of his highly rated OWN shows. “I have tremendous respect for a man who has no pride about working,” says Tyler. “He’s going to do what he has to do to support his family.” After the incident, “it’s been nonstop contact and emails and phone calls and texts and interviews, and it’s bizarre,”
Geoffrey says. “A lot of fun, though.”
