The Cosby Show from 1985 to 1992, felt shamed af­ter a wo­man posted a photo of him work­ing at a check­out line and news out­lets picked up the story. But fans ral­lied in sup­port — in­clud­ing su­per pro­ducer Tyler Perry, who booked Ge­of­frey for a role on one of his highly rated OWN shows. “I have tremen­dous re­spect for a man who has no pride about work­ing,” says Tyler. “He’s go­ing to do what he has to do to sup­port his fam­ily.” Af­ter the in­ci­dent, “it’s been non­stop con­tact and emails and phone calls and texts and in­ter­views, and it’s bizarre,”

Ge­of­frey says. “A lot of fun, though.”

Ge­of­frey played Dr. Elvin Tibideaux, whomar­ried Dr. Cliff Huxtable’s el­dest daugh­ter, Son­dra, on TheCosby Show.
