FOR ROCKER BRYAN ADAMS, PLAYING GIGS IN INDIA IS HEAVEN

Closer Weekly - - Contents -

We were the first artists to play a big show in India back in 1993, and I’ve played there a half of dozen times since then,” Bryan Adams tells Closer of one of his favorite places to tour with his band. “I love India!” Now the “Summer of ’69” rocker, 58, is kicking off new shows there in October where they’ll play in Bangalore, Delhi and his favorite: “I’m kind of partial to Mumbai because I’ve been there so many times,” he says.

Mumbai is the most populous city in India with over 12 million people, so naturally, there’s a lot to do, from museums to seeing the Gateway of India arch. “Nothing can prepare you for India,” says Bryan. “Everybody who goes has their own experience. So I would say go and experience it and then you’ll find something out about yourself.” — Lisa Chambers, with reporting by
