Gets Ready to Mark a Milestone

Closer Weekly - - News Now -

As he prepares to turn 80 in December, Jon Voight is sharing what he’s learned about the importance of family — both real and fictional. “I deeply appreciate his enormous talent,” Jon raved of Liev Schreiber, who plays his son on Ray Donovan, at the Tribeca TV Festival. “The only thing more satisfying than working with Liev would be working with my daughter.” After years of estrangement, Jon has made peace with his daughter, Angelina Jolie, and cherishes the time he spends with her six kids. “I’m a very loving grandpa,” he tells Closer. “I am entertained by the children. I love them, and I’d do anything for them, of course. And they know it.” He’s happy to pass along his wisdom: “Grandfathers give grandchildren something they can’t get anywhere else. Anyone who gets to be 80 has gone through a lot!”

“There are many life lessons. We should respect age.” — Jon, to Closer
