THIS BEAUTIFUL AND MYSTERIOUS COUNTRY CAST A SPELL ON THE OSCAR-WINNING ACTRESS

Like a lot of first-time visitors, Halle Berry found herself charmed and captivated by the warm people and scenic vistas of Northern Africa. “One of my favorite parts of Morocco has been the endless opportunity to capture beautiful images,” says Halle, who visited the country while filming a role in John Wick: Chapter 3 this fall. “Photography is my passion, and this trip has been so memorable for me.”

Halle and her John Wick co-star Keanu Reeves spent time in Essaouira, a fortified city on Morocco’s Atlantic coast famed for its broad sandy beaches and archaeological sites including many well-preserved castles. The actress shared photos of herself sitting on sand dunes, walking the maze-like streets of a medina and cuddling a local cat. She also gushed about how the Moroccan people opened up their hearts and made her feel completely at home. “Instead of crying because it’s over,” Halle says of her life-affirming trip, “I’m smiling because it happened.”
