I’ve Finally FOUND LOVE at 53!
THE PERFORMER IS PREPARING TO MARRY HER LOVE THIS SUMMER
Tony- and Emmy-winning actress Kristin Chenoweth will soon be playing a brand-new role: blushing bride! The star, who became engaged to country guitarist Josh Bryant last October, is set to walk down the aisle for the first time this summer. “She’s so excited,” says an insider. “She’s been talking about her wedding dress forever. She’s working with a designer and says it will be white, very sparkly and fabulous.”
Kristin, 53, who ended her engagement to actor Marc Kudisch in 2001, thought her wedding day would never come, but destiny played a role. She saw Josh perform with his band Backroad Anthem at two weddings — her niece’s and her brother’s — two years apart. They began dating after meeting for the second time in 2018. “She thinks he’s handsome, talented and hilarious,” says the friend. “She says that every bone in her body tells her he’s the right guy for her.”
During the pandemic, the couple quarantined together in New York, where Josh taught Kristin the joys of TikTok. “I didn’t necessarily want to do TikTok. Now I love TikTok with his help,” she gushes. Once Broadway reopened, Kristin repaid the favor by taking Josh to The Lion King. “He had only seen two Broadway shows in his life,” says Kristin. “We both cried.”
A BRIGHT FUTURE
The couple are planning a small but elegant wedding at a New York hotel with “just family and a few friends,” says the insider. As the big day approaches, Kristin can’t stop smiling. “She’s just crazy excited about being a wife, setting up a home, having dinner parties and creating new traditions and memories with Josh.” The wait, she says, has been worth it. “I’ve been the runaway bride,” Kristin admits. “Now that I’ve found him, I won’t let him go. I will race to greet him at the altar.”
