Marilyn appeared in court in 1956 after she failed to respond to tickets for driving without a license and driving with an expired license. When Marilyn tried to explain, the judge cracked that if he wanted to see her act, he’d buy a movie ticket! She was fined $55. “I think the court was right to penalize me,” she said.
