Rare coins of the greatest possible beauty for the date and grade is infinitely rewarding. There is nothing like eye-appeal. Owning a rare coin that is a true masterpiece, pleasing to the eye, o ers countless hours of viewing pleasure that you can share with fellow collectors and non-collectors.

QUALITY

Eye-appeal and quality are not synonymous. There is an abundance of high grade coins available that are simply not that attractive for the date and grade. Ideally, you want both beauty and quality. A beautiful coin that is also of the highest grade for the date will give you years of proud ownership.

CONDITION RARITY

In the proof Kennedy half dollar series,

I can appreciate a recently minted 2021-S Silver Kennedy in PF 69 ULTRA CAMEO condition, or even PF 70 ULTRA CAMEO condition. I regularly assist collectors in acquiring such “common” examples for their Kennedy collections. But make no mistake, a 2021-S Kennedy does not compare in rarity to a 1971-S Kennedy in PF 69 ULTRA CAMEO. There is a world of di erence in terms of their condition rarity.
