Michael Scoppe of Randolph Center, Vermont passed away Wednesday, May 9th 2018. Born, March 11, 1957, son of Frank E., and Marilyn ( Markland) Scoppe, he grew up in Monroe, Connecticu­t.

Michael and his wife raised their daughter, Corinne in Vermont. He was passionate about tennis, skiing and bicycling. As avid tennis players, he and Cory played together for many years. Starting his career as a licensed building contractor, he returned to school and became a Registered Nurse working for many medical organizati­ons including the VNA. He was able to travel to his patients, provide the care they needed and at the same time enjoy the scenery of Vermont. Vermont was the perfect setting for Michael and Karen. He will be missed by his family and friends.

Survived by his wife, Karen, and daughter, Cory. Also survived by his mother, Marilyn and sisters; Susan Thompson, Mary Gallagher, Cathy Konnik, Jane Real, and Carol Drespel. Family also included Brother in Laws, Nieces, Nephews and Cousins. Scott Zitney, a close friend and true brother to Michael. He was predecease­d by his father, Francis Edward Scoppe.

Private services will be held for Michael as arranged by his family. His family appreciate­s all the love and support during this difficult time. In memory of Michael, you may make a charitable donation to: Central Vermont Humane Society, PO Box 687, Montpelier, VT 05601, where Michael visited and adopted his cherished dog Minnie ( corgi).
