David A. We­in­stein

Mr. David A We­in­stein, of Shel­ton, Con­necti­cut, born on Novem­ber 19, 1945 in Bronx, New York, to the late Bess We­in­stein Lan­der and the late Joseph ( Jack) We­in­stein, passed away at age 72 on De­cem­ber 26, 2017 in Eas­ton, Mary­land. David grad­u­ated from Bullard Havens for high school in 1964 and Penn State in 1972. From 1964 to 1967, David served in the Army in the Viet­nam War and af­ter­wards he ran Win­sten Tree Ser­vice, be­fore re­tir­ing in Eas­ton, MD.

David was pre­ceded in death by his brother, Howard We­in­stein. He is sur­vived by his sons, Daniel Ni­chols and Joel We­in­stein; daugh­ters, Ad­ina Hodges, Dara Ra­jowski We­in­stein, Jodi Che­varella, and Jac­que­line We­in­stein; and sis­ters, Mar­i­anne Sil­ver­man, Joyce Grumer, Phyl­lis Gar­ri­son, and Harriet Sis­barro. He was a State Ad­ju­tant for the Mil­i­tary Or­der of the Pur­ple Heart and a mem­ber and ac­tive vol­un­teer at Rolling Thun­der. Do­na­tions in David’s name to Rolling Thun­der are wel­come and ap­pre­ci­ated.

Dave will al­ways be re­mem­bered for his amaz­ing per­son­al­ity and giv­ing na­ture, help­ing any­one when­ever he saw a need! Friends and fam­ily mem­bers may at­tend the cel­e­bra­tion of life ser­vice on Sun­day, June 10, 2018 from 3: 00 to 5: 00 p. m. at Shel­ton Com­mu­nity Cen­ter, 41 Church St., Hunt­ing­ton, Con­necti­cut, 06484. Fel­lows, Helfen­bein, and New­nam Fu­neral Home, P. A. has han­dled his ar­range­ments in Eas­ton, MD.
