The city relaunched its Emergency Management and Homeland Security Facebook page to give residents insight into important situations and safety tips.

The page can be found at bit. ly/ 2sDE17e, or by searching Bridgeport Emergency Operations Center on Facebook. The social media page will give the community safety Information and updates on emergency resources and operation plans as needed.

“This information may include any public emergencies and disasters or significant weather incidents,” said city spokeswoman Rowena White.

The Bridgeport EOC account on Twitter will no longer be active.

Residents will also get information on safety programs like C. E. R. T. — Community Emergency Response Team. The program educates volunteers in disaster preparedness.
