Money matters
Oksana Tanasiv is known for 1 her fashion- influenced paintings, but she also has covered the themes of greed and materialism in her work. Originally from Ukraine, Tanasiv, she moved to the United States more than 10 years ago, but was influenced by the corruption in her former home and delved into this theme in 2011. Her mixed- media “Dollar World Series” will be shown along with pieces by sculptor mekasso from the “Please Help!” Avarice series, in a show titled “Money World: The Social Consequences of Greed.” X. po. zur gallery, 263 Riverside Ave., Westport.
