Domingos Dias Vaz

Domingos Dias Vaz, age 68, of Shelton, CT passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Wednesday, July 25, 2018. He was born on April 17, 1950 in Negroes Montelagre, Portugal to the late Joao Vaz and Ana Dias. He was a long- time member of the Vasco Da Gama Portuguese club. Domingos was a die- hard fan of the Benfica Soccer Team and loved spending time with his grandchildren. He was a former employee of Darien Asphalt Paving & Excavating. Domingos will be dearly missed by his family, friends and everyone that knew him.

Domingos is survived by his wife, Albertina L. Vaz, his son, Domingos Vaz Jr. and spouse Brittany Falcone, his sisters; Marcelina Vieira Cancela, Maria Peniche, his brother, Raul Dias Vaz, his grandchildren; Giovanny Vaz, Isabella Falcone, Dominick Vaz and Gabriella Vaz and many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to attend the funeral on Monday, July 30, 2018 at 9: 00 a. m. in the Parente- Lauro Funeral Home, 559 Washington Ave., Bridgeport and at 10: 00 a. m. in Our Lady of Fatima Church, 429 Huntington Rd., Bridgeport. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Friends may call on Sunday from 1: 00 p. m. to 5: 00 p. m.
