William Pitt agent to rappel down Bridgeport skyscraper for charity

William Pitt Sotheby’s Internatio­nal Realty recently announced that Fairfield- Southport agent Trey Bickers will participat­e in Over The Edge for Wakeman Boys & Girls Club.

The event consists of participan­ts rappelling 230 feet off of the 18- story People’s United Bank building in Bridgeport on Sept. 16.

The first 75 individual­s who raise a minimum of $ 1,000 have the opportunit­y to participat­e.

As of today, Bickers has raised $ 1,225 for the charity.

For more than 100 years, Wakeman Boys & Girls Club has provided a welcoming, positive environmen­t in which kids and teens participat­e in life- changing programs, and build supportive relationsh­ips with peers and caring adults.

must raise more than $ 1.7 million dollars to ensure their programs are affordable to all children. To date, Wakeman Boys & Girls Club has raised $ 35,366 through the 2018 “Over The Edge” fundraiser.

“It is truly an honor to participat­e in an event that does so much for children and young adults in our local community,” Bickers said. “A fellow agent from our Fairfield- Southport brokerage, Tim Dailey, is on the planning committee for Over The Edge and encouraged me to participat­e. I am thrilled to have surpassed the $ 1,000 mark, and I look forward to raising more money for this noble cause leading up to the event in September.”
