Agent is an expert negotiator
Twenty- five years ago, Linda Skolnick paired her negotiating skills as a buyer for Bloomingdales with her professionalism from the corporate world and entered the world of real estate. Her knack for negotiating still drives her today.
“I’m competitive. I love getting inside the other side’s head and knowing where they are trying to end up in a negotiation. I prefer to lead where a negotiation will end,” she said. Skolnick takes pride in her fair but strong reputation and enjoys that a buyer or seller would prefer to have her on their side in a negotiation.
With Skolnick, clients become friends and friends become clients, and she strives to make each one feel as if they are her only client.
“I tell them that I am their ‘ marriage counselor’, ‘ best friend’, ‘ girl friend’, ‘ therapist’ , ‘ secret keeper’ and more,” Skolnick said. “When I work with a buyer or seller — we are a team. We work together to get their house sold or find the perfect house. I have never completed a deal with a buyer or seller that they do not feel great about the transaction. They know I am honest and fair and have their best interest at heart.”
Skolnick holds integrity as paramount and is always transparent, even if it means it may cost a transaction.
“I will never do the wrong thing to make a deal happen,” she said.
She also places a high priority on communication.
“I am very aware that buying or selling a home is the most expensive purchase or sale one ever makes, so I make sure that every party is informed and prepared and can come to me at any point,” she said.
Skolnick stresses the use of professional photography, elegant marketing materials and Coldwell Banker’s global reach as integral to maximizing exposure for her listings.
A consistent Top Producer, Skolick is the recipient of numerous award, including being recognized in Coldwell Banker’s top 2 percent of Realtors worldwide.
