Florence Pantan Martone, age 97, beloved wife of the late Dominick Martone, passed away on Thursday, October 25, 2018 at St. Joseph Center, Trumbull. Born in Bridgeport on March 10, 1921, she was a daughter of the late John and Angelina Gilberti Pantan. Flo was a nurse at St. Vincent’s Medical Center and after her retirement was a caregiver to many. She was an excellent seamstress and made wedding and bridesmaid­s gowns for family and friends. She was renowned for her baking, especially Easter breads and Christmas cookies. She was a volunteer at St. Margaret’s Shrine and Captain of the St. Anthony Feast candles, which was handed down from her Mom. She was always there to lend a helping hand and was so loved by many. She was predecease­d by her husband Dominick, a sister Fannie, a brother Joe and grandson Bryan. Left to cherish her memory are her three children, Thomas Martone and his wife Marie of Hallendale, FL, John Martone and his wife Barbara of Houston, TX, and Donna Capuano and her husband Joseph of Trumbull, eight cherished grandchild­ren, Timothy, Danielle and Thomas Martone, Ann Marie Gorman, John, Stephen and Frank Martone, Joseph Capuano and twelve adored great grandchild­ren as well as many nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at 10: 00 a. m. directly in St. Margaret’s Shrine, 2523 Park Ave., Bridgeport. Interment will follow in Long Hill Burial Grounds, Trumbull. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Monday, October 29, 2018 from 4: 00 - 7: 00 p. m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
