Catherine M. Quinn from Trumbull, CT passed on Tuesday Oct. 30th in Ft. Lauderdale, FL after many years of living with and suffering from health issues.

She was known as Cathy to her family and friends and was born on Jan. 6, 1942 in Bridgeport, CT. Her parents were Joseph Coyne and Catherine Coyne who lived in Trumbull, CT. She moved to South Florida in her early twenties for the mild winters and warm weather after attending the Butler Business School in Bridgeport, CT. She married Thomas P. Quinn III on Aug. 11, 1963 and raised four children in South Florida after time spent in Quantico, VA and Beaufort, SC where her husband served as a Captain in the US Marine Corps at Parris Island, SC.

Cathy was a dedicated wife and mother who poured her efforts into raising her children in Ft. Lauderdale. She was active in her children’s school by helping with several fundraisin­g events. She was also a staple serving the lunch line every Tuesday during the school year at the children’s grammar school: St. Anthony’s. She enjoyed her dogs, walks on the beach and had a vitality for life prior to her illness with dementia. Cathy loved to watch all sports and was an avid fan of Villanova Basketball. Cathy enjoyed all the profession­al sports teams in South Florida and even traveled to several Super Bowls to see her beloved Dolphins. She was surrounded by her children, Carrie, Maresa and Jerry and husband Tom when she passed on Tuesday morning, Oct 30th.

She was preceded in death by her Mother, Catherine M. Coyne and her Father, Joseph Coyne.

She leaves behind her husband Thomas P. Quinn, four children: Patrick ( San Jose, CA), Jerry ( Bethesda, MD), Maresa ( Snellville, GA); Carrie ( Evergreen, CO) and seven adoring grandchild­ren: Brooks, Oliver, Chandler, Ben, Imogen, Hanna and Maggie. She also leaves behind two brothers: Joseph Coyne and Kevin Coyne.
