Following in her dad’s footsteps
Amanda Tarter grew up around real estate, with her father working in commercial real estate in New York City. Six months after graduating college, she decided to give residential real estate a try. With her background, it was a familiar field, but being on the residential side made it feel like she was doing her own thing.
For the past 15 years, Tarter has worked as a Realtor in New York City and Fairfield County. As a buyer’s agent with Michelle& Company, she strives to make the process fun and low stress for her buyers.
“I love helping buyers find a property they are excited about,” Tarter said. “Sometimes this can be a challenge. I love watching it all come together.”
For Tarter, she treats her clients the way she would want to be treated.
“I think putting myself in their shoes is very helpful. I have been through both sides many times, both as a principal and an agent. I always try and go the extra mile. Buying and selling a home is incredibly stressful and I try to be mindful of all the moving pieces and emotions involved.”
Tarter said that the most rewarding part of being a Realtor is when she is able to be creative and help someone think outside the box to find their perfect home.
She credits her brokerage for putting a terrific team in place and having a great deal of support behind her that helps her serve her buyers and provides outstanding results for their selling clients as well. Company: Michelle& Compay, William Raveis Real Estate
