MEN’S HOCKEY

Bentley 3, Sacred Heart 2: Matt Tugnutt and Alex Bates each scored one goal in the first period and Brett Magnus made 24 saves in goal in the loss for the Pioneers ( 1- 3- 1, 1- 1) in Waltham, Mass.

WOMEN’S HOCKEY

Sacred Heart 3, Post 0: Lexi Edwards scored two goals, Anna Klein scored one goal and Kayla Walewski made 13 saves in goal in the win for the Pioneers ( 6- 3- 1, 3- 1- 1) at The Rinks at Shelton.

WOMEN’S SOCCER

Bridgeport 2, LIU Post 0: Maegen Doyle scored two unassisted goals in the second half and Jennifer Wendelius made four saves in goal in the win for the Purple Knights ( 14- 4- 1) in the ECC championship game. With the win, Bridgeport earned an automatic bid to the NCAA Division II Tournament.

WOMEN’S VOLLEYBALL

Bridgeport 3, Roberts Wesleyan 0: Ellie Rich had 19 assists and three digs, Breanna Jones had 13 digs and Klein Johnson had 11 digs in the win for the Purple Knights

( 14- 11, 8- 5 ECC) at Hubbell Gym in Bridgeport.

Fairfield 3, Siena 1: Alexis Rich had 51 assists and five digs, Sonja Radulovic had 14 digs and 13 kills and Julia Kallen had 19 kills and 12 digs in the win for the Stags

( 11- 13, 10- 5 MAAC) in Fairfield.

Sacred Heart 3, Central Connecticut 0: Sarah Ciszek had 32 assists, seven kills and six digs, Liisel Nelis had 13 kills and eight digs and Emma Smallcomb had 15 digs and one kill in the win for the Pioneers ( 14- 9, 7- 5 NEC) at Pitt Center in Fairfield.
