Loves helping first- time buyers
Lynn Fiorillo became very interested in becoming a Realtor while working as a paralegal handling real estate closings.
“Whether it was a buyer’s first home purchase or a seller upgrading or downsizing, it was a new beginning for them. It was a joyous experience.,” Fiorillo said.
She became a Realtor in 2006. With nearly 40 years in the legal field behind her, Fiorillo was able to put her legal skills to work for her real estate clients.
“Working as a paralegal gave me invaluable experience writing contracts, the art of negotiation, investigating and researching,” she said.
This experience also instilled the importance of communication and the significance of honesty and confidentiality.
“When I meet with clients it is extremely important to explain the transaction process and assure them I will be with them every step of the way. My goal is to be sure each client understands the process and has the information needed to make a good informed decision.”
Fiorillo credits her team and brokerage for being able to share and gain knowledge with each other to stay up to date on industry changes.
“In addition to online webinars, Raveis office technology, marketing and tools, office meetings and team meetings, I find it imperative to keep a close relationship with mortgage brokers to learn of new changes or programs available to buyers as well as insurance brokers that can educate me on changes, specifically flood zone regulations,” she said.
For Fiorillo, the most rewarding moments in her career are when she assists a first- time home buyer in purchasing their dream home and they remain in contact.
“I love receiving photos of their home renovations or their babies! Of course, there is no better way to know you did your job well is when your past clients, who you now consider a friend, refer their friends and family. There is no better compliment than a referral.”
